Good idea to renovate the hotel, but please do NOT let people book a room that is in the middle of a construction plan. Overall the experience was not worth a 3-star hotel, very far from it.
That said, the food at the restaurant was excellent and the staff/director friendly and helping. I just wish we could have been given another room, but I understand that the hotel was fully booked that day.

Rooms were dated but clean and comfortable. But overall it was a poor experience

Disappointed. Hotel was in very bad condition. Exposed wires in the roof. Smell in the room. No food options at night. Generally not a good experience. Don't tend to leave reviews. But this hotel should not be open during this renovation. And we were not told about it in advance.

Big old motel style Hotel. Reception and bar area looked spacious. Pool area closed and corridor to our room was under refurbishment with cables and wires hanging down at hand hight, very dangerous! The room was noisy as connecting to the servce area at the back of the Hotel. The restaurant looked closed, uninviting so went to Mc D's for food, life saver as breakfast at Hotel was £15 per head!!!! not a cheap motorway stayover if travelling far a need somewhere to rest your head. Stick to the recognised branded hotels instead of a village d'etape.
